New Payroll Appointment Service Center in Operation - 02/3/11
The Payroll Department’s new Payroll Appointment Service Center (PASC) became operational Feb. 1. Under the direction of Assistant Comptroller Mary Alexander-Conte, the new PASC will offer the payroll- and employment-related functions that the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) previously had supplied to University business offices.
To ensure continuity of services, the personnel who staffed the HRSC are staffing the PASC. They will assist University business office staff campus-wide in the same matters they covered in HR. The topics include faculty and staff appointment processing, employment contract management, pay adjustments, I-9/e-Verify, and employment verifications.
Forms, instructional documents, and training materials that previously were accessible from the HRSC are being redirected to the new PASC website from the HRSC website. The HRSC home page also provides a clickable link to the new PASC site. Over the coming weeks, the PASC will update forms and other resources to reflect the new name and change in processes. Alexander-Conte reminds University staff that because forms are subject to change, users are better served by bookmarking the Business Forms Used at Purdue University website as a favorite in their Web browser rather than bookmarking or saving individual forms.
Under the new structure, HRSC is narrowing its focus to human resource services that involve benefits and leaves management. The HRSC remains under the direction of Kevin Vedder.
PASC staff will occupy their current space in HR until late spring, when they expect to relocate to the Payroll Department.
