Business @ Purdue News Web Site Enhanced With New Features - 10/21/08

The Business Systems Advisory Committee has approved two new features for the Business @ Purdue News Web site.

A new “Training” category became available with the Thursday, Oct. 16 edition of the
B @ P News e-newsletter. Previously, training articles were listed under the “General” or “People” categories. To avoid breaking links, those training-related articles will not be moved to the new “Training” category. However, all future articles about training will be listed under the new category heading.

The other B @ P News change gives business staff the means to report and learn about staffing changes throughout the Business Services department and business offices at West Lafayette and all regional campuses. Staffing news will include the names of newly hired employees and transfers, their titles, departments and contact information. When appropriate, the staff person being replaced by the new hire also will be noted.

Other improvements to the site include activation of the search mechanism and a gold tab listing links to other Purdue newsletters.
