New Business Office Service Center Opening within Housing and Food Services - 03/7/13

In an effort to better serve their customers, the Housing and Food Services (HFS) Business Office is reorganizing and consolidating over 15 University Residence business office operations into one Business Office Service Center located at Owen Hall effective March 7, 2013.  This Service Center is organized into three main focus areas: Payroll, University Residences, and Dining. “The focus areas will allow us to standardize processes, have a more balanced workload with better backup coverage, and improve overall efficiencies,” says Kathy Vanderwall, Assistant Fiscal Director who will oversee the center.  “With any change of this size, there will be issues that need to be worked through.  However, with continued support from our customers, we are confident the new Service Center will be a success.”

This consolidation would not have been possible without the dedicated planning efforts within the HFS Business Office and the great support received from Beth McCuskey, Associate Vice President for HFS, many of her senior staff, and countless other Business Services/HFS employees.
