Janice Indrutz
Corporate Secretary and Senior Executive Assistant to the Board of Trustees


Janice Indrutz joined the Office of the Board of Trustees as the corporate secretary in January 2011.  She came to Purdue in January 2001 as the administrative assistant to the department head in the Department of Communication (now the Brian Lamb School of Communication).  She then served as the administrative assistant to the vice president for human relations (now ethics and compliance), followed by serving as the assistant to the dean in the College of Technology (now the Purdue Polytechnic Institute).  In addition, Janice was a member of the 2006 Accomplished Clerical Excellence (ACE) Task Force, and she served on the early steering committee for the Clerical and Administrative Assistants Mentoring Program (CAAMP).

Originally from Russiaville, Indiana, Janice earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Indiana University Kokomo.  She manages the Office of the Board of Trustees, serves as the primary liaison between the Board of Trustees and the university community, and is responsible for maintaining records of all actions taken by the Board.

Kim Weldy
Executive Assistant


Kim Weldy joined the Office of the Board of Trustees as the administrative assistant in June 2013.  Since coming to Purdue in May 2005, she has also served as the development coordinator in the Purdue Libraries Office of Advancement, administrative assistant in the Office of the President, schedule deputy in the Department of Biological Sciences, and secretary in the Department of Anthropology.  Kim’s successful career at Purdue includes receiving the Dean’s Team Award from the Purdue Libraries for her outstanding contributions to the Libraries, Press, and Copyright Office, a Customer Service Award from the College of Science, and the Robert W. Smith Award from the Department of Biological Sciences, which recognized unusual service, dedication, and loyalty to the department.  She earned a degree as a legal assistant from Indiana Vocational Technical College (now Ivy Tech Community College) and was a court reporter for Tippecanoe County for 19 years.  Her responsibilities include providing administrative support to the board of trustees, general counsel, deputy general counsel, and corporate secretary.
