Problem 3 Tips and Techniques:
3a) This is not a calculation. Simply estimate the angle. You only need to estimate the angle from a top view of the head. Refer to 3:27 on the video to estimate this angle. (Take the angle of the red line to the true horizontal)
3b) It is only necessary look at the rotation of the head from the back perspective.
3d, e, and f) Start at 34:00 on the February 5th Lecture Video. What assumptions were made in this analysis?

In part c we are to compare part a’s angle to part b’s angle. How do we do this if part a’s angle is in the top view and part b’s angle is in the back view? Am I reading the problem correct?
I am confused about this as well. I initially thought both part A and B were asking us to calculate theta_B from the top view. Part A visually with the video, and Part B using the CAM equation to compare, as that is the only angle we were not provided in class.
Also, when we initially are to determine w_h+ from the Zapruder film using 18.3 fps and 6dt what direction is that change in angle?
The angle we did not receive in class was the angle from the front view. The angle from the top view was 10 degree. I thought we were supposed to estimate the angle of the head before and after the second shot, then calculate the angular velocity of the head rotation….. Then for part b calculate the angle rather than estimate it, but I am not sure how we are supposed to calculate it.
*Sigh* Yes you’re totally right no wonder I was so confused. Thanks!
I am also confused how we are supposed to compare for part c. But, I am also confused about the new direct since it appears to conflict with the original assignment statements: (1) calculate the angular velocity list in Table 1, and (2) calculate the angle for 3b.
correction: it states in Table 1 that the angular velocity is estimated from the film.
Where can I find the February 5th Lecture Video?

I think on-campus student don’t have the access to that. Sad.
