Current mentors will benefit from interacting with graduated mentor alumni in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Learning industry best practice and operational strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Growing their personal network before graduation for both knowledge and career support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networking the Center with these world-leading companies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mentor Alumni Limitations and Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be a Mentor Alumni the individual must meet and agree to the following conditions, and any new updates or revisions going forward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The role exists to enrich the experience of current Purdue students only\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This courtesy role may be revoked at any time for any reason<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agree to the current (and any future)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/bidc\/policies\/member-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bechtel Center Member Agreements<\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No use of the Center on behalf of your current employer or for personal profit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/bidc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Bechtel-Center-Volunteer-Agreement-and-Release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">access wavier<\/a>&nbsp;and contribute photos for the Alumni Discord channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alumni may not fill any role in the Center except member and buddy\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No trusted user, supervisor, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On safety \/ operations only fill the role of buddy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn and use existing operational practices and policies, e.g.:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain projects and reservations through OS1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep personal safety training in-date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No novel CAD\/CAM systems, except as approved by staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abide by decisions of current employees in both operations, training, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit a representative photo of yourself to have it displayed to existing employees in a Discord channel of current alumni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share stories and experiences you have had with your soon-to-be-graduated peers!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for this role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact Christina Perry via Discord<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your application will then go before the supervisors for feedback and approval<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If approved, sign the waiver and supply the photo.
