Lisa earned her degree from Purdue University in 1979 and has maintained a lifelong connection to Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Originally from Tipton, Indiana, she was a 1974 graduate of Tipton High School and the first Miss Pork Festival Queen in 1971. During her years at Purdue, Lisa served as Purdue’s Girl in Black with the \u201cAll-American\u201d Marching Band from 1974 to 1979. Her twirling talents provided opportunities to teach and perform internationally, traveling to 15 countries throughout her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A resident of Kokomo, Indiana, since 1982, Lisa has dedicated herself to community service and volunteer leadership. She has served numerous organizations, including the Cheer Guild Board, Bona Vista Advisory Board, Mental Health Association Board, and Howard Community Hospital Foundation Board. She has also been an active member of Tri Kappa, Greek Club, the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Club, and P.E.O. Chapter R. Lisa has been involved with the Purdue Bands & Orchestras Advisory Board since the 1980s and remains a committed advocate for the organization. Her volunteer efforts have also included the Mental Health Association’s Gift Lift and We Care programs, as well as service to the Miss Indiana and Miss America Scholarship Program. Lisa’s contributions to her community have been recognized through honors including Spotlight Volunteer of the Year, Indiana’s Mother of the Year, and American Woman of the Year. Outside of her volunteerism, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, Tiffany and Tracey, her grandchildren Cooper, Georgia, and Gentry, and her husband, Rick. Today, Lisa and Rick divide their time between Kokomo, Indiana, and Bradenton, Florida.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
