\n\n<p><strong>Important Notes&nbsp;&#8211; 2026<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The week of Band Camp (August 16-22) is your audition. You will learn our marching style, music, and get to know your fellow students and leaders.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2026&nbsp;Report Dates:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u202f<strong>Sunday, August 16:\u202f<\/strong>All Incoming Freshmen, New Student Brass and Woodwind players, All Drumline, and All Auxiliaries&nbsp;<br>\u2022\u202f<strong>Monday, August 17:\u202f<\/strong>All Returning Brass and Woodwind Players&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participation in Band Camp does not guarantee acceptance into the marching band.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u202f<strong>Students not selected to be in the Marching Band are highly encouraged to transition into one of our Indoor Ensembles.<\/strong>\u202fYou will&nbsp;automatically&nbsp;be placed in another ensemble based on your Marching Band music audition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 If you are only auditioning for Marching Band (attending Band Camp) you&nbsp;are not required to&nbsp;submit&nbsp;an indoor ensemble audition. However, if you plan to perform in&nbsp;marching&nbsp;band&nbsp;<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;an&nbsp;additional&nbsp;indoor ensemble (concert, jazz, orchestra), you should still complete the requisite indoor audition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;<strong>All students auditioning for marching band&nbsp;are required to&nbsp;attend Band Camp.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u202f<strong>Do not sign up for Boiler Gold Rush if you intend to&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in Band Camp.\u202f<\/strong>We are part of the \u201cAll Aboard\u201d Orientation family at Purdue, so you will still get acclimated to campus through many of the same opportunities&nbsp;like&nbsp;making friends, campus tours, guest speakers, and social activities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022\u202f<strong>Students selected for membership are&nbsp;required&nbsp;to register for BAND 11000 (CRN 46611-001)<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 While it is possible to&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in multiple ensembles, you should strongly consider the time commitment, your course load, what else you might plan to get involved with on campus, and your own time management skills.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2026&nbsp;Band Camp Move-In Details:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Golduster Dance Team:\u202f<\/strong>Friday, August&nbsp;7&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Leadership Team:\u202f<\/strong>August 11 through&nbsp;August 13&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Members and Drumline\/BBD\/Auxiliaries:\u202f<\/strong>August 13 through August 15&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Returning Members:\u202f<\/strong>August 15 through August 17&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Students must be registered for Band Camp to be eligible for early move-in with University Residences. Students will receive a link from University Residences to select their early move-in time during the summer. Be sure to check your Purdue email and spam folders often.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Please be aware that as a Band Camp participant, housing is not waived, and you will be assessed an approximately&nbsp;$35\/day charge&nbsp;from the time of check-in until the start of the contract on Friday, August 21, 2026.&nbsp;(Subject to change.)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Students may eat in the Dining Courts as needed by paying the door rate with a Credit\/Debit Card or Boiler Express.
