Volunteer management team<\/h1>\n \n

While a traditional school of music would have several graduate students to help with the department, or a high school with their band and orchestra parent organizations, Purdue Bands & Orchestras students are the main workforce. Whether it’s distributing and maintaining marching band uniforms, amplifying a four-piece rhythm section in the middle of a football field, or giving tours to prospective students, these volunteers spend countless hours devoting their time to improve our department.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Clothing & Uniform<\/h2>\n \n\n

The Clothing & Uniform Team handles all of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band uniforms and accessories, as well as the tuxedos used by some of our indoor ensembles. They oversee distribution, hemming, dry cleaning, inventory, and upkeep of all of our clothing items.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Library<\/h2>\n \n\n

The Library Team handles all of Purdue Bands & Orchestras paper music needs. They maintain a catalog of countless pieces of band, orchestra, jazz, and marching band music that are copied and printed for in-class use. They also work to digitize our library for long term preservation and easy access.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Community & Cultural Awareness<\/h2>\n \n\n

The Community and Cultural Awareness Team promotes equity within the department through informational talks from distinguished speakers and collaborations with Purdue Cultural Centers, as well as social activities and informational workshops.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Operations & Logistics<\/h2>\n \n\n

Outreach<\/h2>\n \n\n

The Outreach Team handles many alumni relations tasks for the department, including “Thank You” notes for our donors, organizing alumni networking mixers, assisting with reunions, and liaising with the PBO Advisory Board.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Technology<\/h2>\n \n\n

The Technology team supports the department in all facets of electronic and technological needs.
