Dining Update – CORRECTED 8/14

    • Purdue students participating in AAMB Band Camp who hold a meal plan will NOT be allowed to eat in dining halls once they officially move in to their University Residence. The 2020-21 meal plan does not start until Friday, August 21st. Students cannot buy meals at the door as they are only accepting meal swipes and dining dollars. Dining dollars will also begin when meal plans begin on 8/21. They are not accepting cash, credit, or Boiler Express at the Dining Courts. Students will need to make alternate arrangements for food.
    • Various retail dining locations will be available to purchase meals using cash or credit including Cosi, Starbucks on 3rd Street, 3rd Street Market, and Cary Knight Spot.

Can I audition for Marching Band AND a Concert Band/Orchestra/Jazz Band?

Important notes for those interested in AAMB:

    • Boiler Gold Rush:
      • The Purdue “All-American” Marching Band provides a similar experience to Boiler Gold Rush (BGR) during the week of band camp, including presentations from important departments on campus, tours, and activities within your section.
      • Since Band Camp and BGR are the same week, please DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BGR IF YOU INTEND TO MARCH. You will not miss out by not attending BGR and will still acclimate to campus life and make plenty of new friends.
      • If you sign up for BGR and then decide to participate in band camp, you may request a full refund prior to July 31st, 2020. Contact studentsuccess@purdue.edu or (765) 494-9328 to determine if your circumstance qualifies.
      • Through July 31: Full refund of $320
      • Aug. 1 and later: No refund
    • Residence Hall Move-In:
      • Students will receive a link from University Residences to select their early move-in time when they receive their housing assignment on July 23. We anticipate students to be allowed to select an early move-in time 1 day prior to their Band Camp arrival date.
      • Students will be billed $32/night during Band Camp by University Residences.
