The Silver Twins

This dazzling duo adds a splash of silver to the team. Traditionally twins or look-a-likes twirled in this feature position. The Silver Twins are twirlers who twirl in precise coordination with one another.

In the 1960’s twirling twins Karon and Sharon Roeske attended Purdue. Al G. Wright, who was Director of Bands at the time said, “the chance of finding twins that are twirlers is a million to one, so I named them the ‘Silver Twins’ and put them on the field.”

New to the position this year are Alana Diedrick, a sophomore in Biomedical Health Sciences Pre-Dental from Broadview Heights, OH, and Alexa Lytle of Englewood, CO, a junior studying Geology/Geophysics.
