About Us

Purdue Bands & Orchestras has been providing curricular ensemble opportunities to the students of Purdue University for over 130 years. With no music majors at Purdue, our 1,100+ students span almost every discipline, spreading the optimistic spirit of Purdue Bands & Orchestras across campus. From world-renowned performances by over 30 different ensembles, including the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, Purdue Bands & Orchestras is considered the “Heartbeat of the University” and encourages a lifelong journey with music.

To develop lifelong participants of music through extraordinary performances, innovative learning experiences, and valuable leadership opportunities in an environment where the uniqueness of all members is celebrated.
