Academic Support Resources - Fall 2020

This site will be updated regularly with information on available resources and how both on-campus and online learners can access them.

Toolkit for Online Students

Purdue Online has a digital toolkit for students taking online classes, whether fully online or hybrid. The toolkit has topics related to success in online courses, including organization, communication, study habits, working with groups, tools, and support. Visit the Innovative Learning site to explore this resource (and more) as you navigate online classes.

Where can I study?

Purdue has designated spaces and tents now available for studying and synchronous learning.

Stewart Center rooms are now dedicated study rooms. STEW 214ABCD and STEW 306 are reserved for students participating in synchronous learning. While headphones are still needed, synchronous learning rooms are not expected to be a silent study space as students may need to engage in their online course discussions and activities. STEW Study Spaces are 6:00 AM to Midnight daily (beginning Aug. 24).

The Armory will be opening as a study space soon, offering hours from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily.

RecWell Gyms 1-3 and 4-6 will be opening as a study space soon, offering hours Monday-Saturday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

South End Zone Study Tent will be opening soon, offering hours from 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM daily.

Find Study and Eating Tents available on campus using this updated map.

Writing Lab

While all face-to-face tutoring at all of our locations are canceled, The Writing Lab will continue to be open and available for consultations all summer, from May 18 to August 8. Remember, we cannot proofread or edit documents, but we can teach people how to do either. Visit for more information or to schedule an appointment (click on "Writing Lab" in the top menu and then "Schedule a tutoring appointment").

Purdue Library

Whether you are learning on-campus or learning remotely, you will still have access to the Purdue Library. If you haven’t learned how to navigate the library system via online, there are many resources in place to help. First, we’d recommend viewing the Purdue Library Tutorials. Second, many subjects have specific guides for your educational major: Guides by Subject.
