Chair’s Corner – April 2019

Brittany Vale

As my term as chair is nearing its end, I’ve been taking some time to reflect on what has happened over the past year. So many changes for the University — business process reengineering, job family restructure, celebration of Purdue’s 150th, introduction of Purdue Global, construction and growth all around the grounds, updates and improvements to various processes around camps, and did I mention construction?

Purdue University is humming with excitement and evolution. Change can be daunting to some, but it’s an exciting time to be a Boilermaker. I am eager for the future of the University and what lies ahead for APSAC. This month, APSAC held its annual vice chair elections, and I was thrilled to learn that two of our great leaders wanted to step up and put their names on the ballot. I am proud to announce that Stacey Baisden was elected vice chair of APSAC for 2019-20 term. Stacey is graduate coordinator and schedule deputy for the Department of Political Science in the College of Liberal Arts. Danny Vukobratovich, instruction and research services administrator in Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies, will take the helm in June 2019 as chair of APSAC. I am proud of the future leadership of APSAC and look forward to all the engagement planned for their terms. Please help me congratulate both Danny and Stacey on their elected positions.
