SecurePurdue Token - BoilerKey
The Purdue BoilerKey is a convenient means of significantly improving the security of protected computer systems. The BoilerKey is a small electronic device that displays a series of six digits when activated. Your career account password, combined with these six digits, are used in place of your password alone to gain access to computer applications and systems.
BoilerKeys are provided to Purdue employees for their use when accessing computer systems that contain sensitive or restricted data. The BoilerKey is an implementation of two-factor authentication, a system that requires two forms of verification of identity before a person can access protected computer resources. In addition, codes that are consistently changing and may be used one time only, provide additional layers of security that are capable of resisting many types of malicious attempts to gain access.

Individual BoilerKey User
To request a Purdue BoilerKey, please visit the BoilerKey Self Serve web page. Scroll to the Available BoilerKey Token section and click on the link that states "Request SafeNet eToken PASS BoilerKey". This will send a request to the BoilerKey administration team to assign you a BoilerKey and send it to you (via campus mail).
Departmental BoilerKey Administrator
Departments that are interested in using Boilerkeys in their area should contact ITaP's Identity and Access Management
Office to discuss deployment options. If desired, a departmental administrator can be assigned to assist with
deployment and Boilerkey support.
