Manure Management Planner

MyFarms is proud to partner with Purdue University and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to bring you improved versions of the Manure Management Planner (MMP), which remains publicly available and free-of-charge. Here are the improvements that MMP v4.0.3 (published on August 1, 2022) affords relative to MMP v4.0.2 (published on August 13, 2021):

  • Connecticut and Idaho - Updated the P and K application logic and crop removal rates.

  • Delaware - Added support for 190 new crops, updated the N, P, and K application logic, and updated crop removal rates.

  • Michigan - Aligned N, P, and K application logic and crop removal rates with the 2020 Tri-State Fertilizer Recommendations.

  • Ohio - Implemented new P-Index logic.

  • West Virginia - Updated the manure production rates, crop list, P and K application logic (by crop), and soil productivity levels.

  • Soil Info - The SSURGO soil type data was updated in MMP on 11/03/2021. This update can be observed by clicking "Fields" then "Soil Info" and reading the "Soil File Rev" date in the upper right corner.

  • Erosion Data - The RUSLE2 Management options and related erosion values have been updated to the latest version published by USDA.
