Police department offering free active threat training in July and August
The Purdue University Police Department is offering free, in-person training sessions for potential threats during the months of July and August.
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, or CRASE, classes provide strategies, guidance and plan options for surviving an active threat event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, and preparing in advance what your response will be.
Sessions will be held during the following dates and times:
- July 22, 9:30-11:30 a.m., KRAN G016 (Krannert Building, 403 Mitch Daniels Blvd.)
- July 26, 2-4 p.m., WALC 1132 (Wilmeth Active Learning Center, 340 Centennial Mall Dr.)
- July 31, 1:30-3:30 p.m., BRNG B222 (Beering Hall of Liberal Arts and Education, 100 N. University St.)
- Aug. 13, 9:30-11:30 a.m., RAWLS 1011 (Rawls Hall, 100 S. Grant St.)
