Administrative Operations doubles participation rate for United Way campaign, recognition event scheduled for Dec. 12

While Administrative Operations came close to reaching its goal for this year’s Purdue University United Way Campaign, the organization’s participation rate more than doubled from last year. The number of donors also more than doubled for this year’s campaign. Administrative Operations had a fundraising goal of $15,000 and the organization was able to meet nearly 96% of that.

Some of the organized events that helped make the campaign a success include popcorn donations, a chili cook-off, a walking tour and auction. Also, the following champions were instrumental in this year’s campaign:

  • Brian Gilbert, Real Estate
  • Tim Jones, Building Services
  • Mike Munday, Building Services
  • Kristy Smith, Administrative Services
  • Brian Wallar, Operations and Maintenance

To recognize these achievements, AO is hosting a bowling and gaming event at Rack and Roll and Boiler Game Mine in the Purdue Memorial Union. The event will take place on Dec. 12 with one session from 3:30-5 p.m. and a second session from 8:30-10 p.m. All employees who participated in this year’s campaign in any way are invited to attend.

Thank you to all who participated in making this year’s campaign a success!

Questions about the recognition event may be directed to this year’s co-chairs for Administrative Operations, Brandi Jittjumnongk at brandij@purdue.edu or Lauren Stearns at lkglick@purdue.edu.
