Administrative Operations Connection

September 10, 2021 | For Administrative Operations staff

Network drives, connectivity, applications may be impacted during ITaP update today

As ITaP announced through direct email communication late yesterday, an emergency update to the Isilon storage system will occur throughout the day today, Sept. 10.

This update may result in campus-wide issues accessing applications or network drives, including but not limited to the following:

  • ArcGIS
  • eDocs
  • Microsoft Access databases
  • MicroStation
  • Network file shares (e.g. G:\ drive)

Administrative Operations employees are encouraged to avoid or limit use of the affected applications and save files often to minimize data corruption or loss. Employees should also be aware that network connectivity may be impacted, though desktops and laptops are expected to reconnect automatically.

The Isilon update will ensure improved, long-term stability.

Questions about the update may be directed to Chad Wright, IT service manager, at wright61@purdue.edu.
