Hydrant flushing at various campus locations to begin today

Waterworks crews will be flushing hydrants at various locations across campus beginning today (April 9). The work will continue through Tuesday (April 13).

Pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists should avoid areas where work is actively underway and areas with standing water.

As a result of the flushing, water from faucets may be discolored for a short period of time. Although this does not affect the water quality, individuals may allow the faucet to run for a few moments to remove the discoloration.

Questions may be directed to Chris Marks, supervisor, at (765) 496-2705 or camarks2@purdue.edu.
