Changes implemented to Purdue Memorial Union access from east entrance, parking garage subwalk

In order to facilitate renovations to the Purdue Memorial Union Club (PMUC) access up to the main floor of the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) is closed from the east entrance. Pedestrians can enter and continue down the stairs from this entrance in order to visit the ground floor restaurants and businesses, which will remain open while work continues for the next year. The main floor can be reached from any other entrance during this time.

The east elevator that is located immediately between PMU and PMUC — and that may be accessed from the connecting Grant Street Parking Garage pedestrian subwalk — continues to provide a means of entry to either the ground or second floors of PMU. However, this elevator will not stop at the main floor. Instead, the service elevator on the northwest side of PMU provides access to the main floor.

All floors of the PMU remain open, and all other building access will be maintained.
