Templates<\/h1>\n

Students must use and work directly within one of the three official Purdue thesis templates provided below (Standard, APA, or LaTeX\/Overleaf) when writing their thesis or dissertation. Thoroughly read the accompanying handbook for your chosen template as it shows how the formatting should appear and contain necessary formatting instructions, requirements, and examples. Please do not override template formatting, use a non-official template, or attempt to recreate a template. All theses and dissertations are also required to meet current American Disability Association requirements outlined in this website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some departments require students to use a specific official Purdue thesis template. Format review information:<\/strong>  A format review is an optional service provided to students who wish to ensure formatting is on track prior to depositing. Students interested in a obtaining a format review by the Thesis & Dissertation Office during the semester in which they intend to deposit should email thesishelp@purdue.edu<\/a> for more information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Format review deadlines vary for CAND 99200 (Degree Only) and CAND 99100 registrants, and students will need to ensure that they adhere to the correct format review deadline based on their candidacy registration. Please review the Graduation Dates and Deadlines<\/a> calendar to locate semester format review deadlines. Please note that only one format review will be conducted per student each semester and it must occur prior to the designated format review deadline. Format review assistance will not be available after the candidates\u2019 designated semester format review deadline has passed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theses\/dissertations that do not<\/u><\/strong> contain EEAR, ITAR, DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, Confidential Unclassified Information (CUI), Covered Defense Information (CDI), or other controlled data should be emailed as an attachment (not a link) to thesishelp@purdue.edu<\/a> for format review. If the document size is too large to send via email, you may send it via FileLocker<\/a> to both will2922<\/strong> and zmahnke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theses\/dissertations that DO<\/u><\/strong> contain EEAR, ITAR, DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, Confidential Unclassified Information (CUI), Covered Defense Information (CDI), or other controlled data must schedule an in-person formatting consultation with the Thesis & Dissertation Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
