OGSPS will seek nominations through college assistant\/associate deans for graduate education.\u00a0 Nominees can be from any college but must be a current graduate faculty member on the West Lafayette campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominees must demonstrate sustained and significant contributions to graduate education at Purdue through activities such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Well-structured relationships with students that lead to successful completion of master\u2019s and doctoral degrees, including committee service, mentoring, funding, scholarly support and student advocacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovative graduate teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Significant administration of graduate programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The award recipient will be determined from college nominees by a committee composed of the graduate faculty (selected by OGSPS) and graduate students (selected by the president of the Purdue Graduate Student Government).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One award of $2,500 each will be awarded in 2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominating documents will be limited to 5 pages, exclusive of the CV and support letters, and include the following assembled in the order indicated below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A cover sheet with the nominee&#8217;s and nominator&#8217;s name and contact information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three letters of support including one from the nominator who is currently affiliated with Purdue University (this could include a dean, department head, faculty member, or graduate student) and two from FORMER students (1 page each).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee&#8217;s reflection (written in first person) on involvement in various aspects of graduate education (1-2 pages); this section should be written by the nominee and include, but not be limited to, innovations in graduate mentoring and graduate administrative service;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CV (include education; Purdue position; graduate courses taught; significant publications [indicate publications co-authored with graduate students by highlighting graduate student(s) name]);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>List of past masters and doctoral students for whom the nominee served as major professor and their current positions if available (1-2 pages);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Nomination process:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nominations should be forwarded to Lori Miller,&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mill2071@purdue.edu\">mill2071@purdue.edu<\/a>, by the assistant\/associate dean for graduate education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nomination process at the college level should include input from graduate faculty and graduate students.&nbsp; Each college will select one nominee to forward to OGSPS as a finalist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The award recipient will be determined from college\/school nominees by a committee composed of graduate faculty (selected by OGSPS) and two graduate students (selected by the president of the Purdue Graduate Student Government).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Deadline:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations must be received by OGSPS by Friday, February 13, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/academics\/ogsps\/professional-development\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/2025-2026-Grad-Fac-Mentor-Award-Criteria.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Outstanding Graduate Faculty Mentor Criteria and Nomination Cover Page<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column is-one-quarter-desktop is-full-tablet is-full-mobile page-layout-sidebar is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div  class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-small has-padding-bottom-large  page-layout-wide\">\n    <div class=\"container\">\n                \n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns page-layout-columns columns is-multiline is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column column is-one-quarter-desktop is-full-tablet is-full-mobile page-layout-sidebar is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professional Development Office<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Physical\/ Mailing Address:<br>Earnest C.
