Please review the English proficiency requirements for your specific program of interest&nbsp;<a href=\"\/academics\/ogsps\/program-search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2021<strong>iBT (Test Center and Home Edition):<\/strong>&nbsp;In addition to required iBT minimum scores for writing, speaking, listening, and reading, the OGSPS also requires a minimum overall iBT score that is higher than the minimums for the four area tests combined. Applicants must meet or exceed each of the five scores for admission to the OGSPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IELTS &#8211; International English Language Testing System<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>OGSPS accepts IELTS (Academic Module) English proficiency test scores.&nbsp;Purdue University does not accept the One Skill Retake. materials written at the native speaker level (~360 hours classroom instruction in speaking, listening, reading, writing); complete extensive research paper using standard research protocols in a monitored setting; pass Michigan English Language Institute College English Test (MELICET) and Listening Comprehension Test (LCT) standards; pass speaking and writing evaluation.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful completion of the intensive English language program must be certified, in writing, by the intensive English program faculty to the Office of Graduate Admissions or the equivalent office at the regional campuses before applicants using this method of establishing English proficiency may be admitted to the OGSPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The certificate of completion can be uploaded to the online application status portal (after submission) under Miscellaneous Supporting Documents, sent electronically to the Office of International Education, or the hard copy certificate can be mailed directly to the Purdue Fort Wayne Office of Graduate Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Waiver \u2013 Citizen of or Degree from English Speaking Country<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>OGSPS will routinely waive the English Proficiency testing requirements for applicants who have received a baccalaureate degree or graduate or professional degree, within the last 36 months&nbsp;<strong>prior to<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>the time of recommendation for admission<\/strong>, from a school where English is the primary language of instruction in a country\/location where English is the native language.&nbsp;<strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;Some graduate programs may still require a test of English
