InterCultural Learning Faculty Grant Programs
Study Abroad and Intercultural Learning (SAIL) Grants
The SAIL grant program is offered to faculty for the development and/or support of departmental study abroad programs. Grant amounts vary by year and program type, and some SAIL grants require matching funds from the college or department. Funds will provide awards to faculty members through their academic units. Contact your college or school's International Programs Officer (IPO) for information about proposal procedures and deadlines. You may also click here for additional details about the current round of grants.
Additional ICL Grants
The Dean of International Programs is rolling out a new faculty grant for 2016-17 related to Intercultural Pedagogy. The application process for this new grant will go through college International Program Officers, just as SAIL does, annd may be combined with SAIL proposals. See the additional information on SAIL grants for more information on this new program.
Funding may also be available to faculty and staff for training in InterCultural Learning (for example attending a 2.5 day seminar to become a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory) and/or for help covering the costs of the administration of intercultural assessments. Contact the ICL team at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on these opportunities.
