What is intercultural learning?

A Purdue-specific adaptation of the AAC&U Intercultural Knowledge and Competence VALUE Rubric serves as our foundational definition of the knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSAs) of intercultural competence. It is one of eleven rubrics approved by the Purdue faculty senate as a valid, inclusive and reliable method by which to assess authentic artifacts of student learning, in support of the desired embedded learning outcomes of the undergraduate core curriculum for all colleges.  In addition to the rubric, CILMAR staff support the use of over thirty validated instruments to facilitate evidence-based approaches to intercultural and inclusive learning.
