Orientations and Social Events

To participate in IFP semester matching, hosts and students are required to attend an hour-long orientation session in which program expectations and cultural tips for meaningful interactions will be presented. The orientations are designed to equip students and hosts to cross cultures and build friendships with their friendship partners.

Upcoming Host Orientations

To attend one of the session times listed below, prospective hosts can register for the session they will attend here.

2018 Fall Host Orientation Schedule

Mixers and Intercultural Fun Nights

Twice a semester, IFP hosts mixers and fun nights to get IFPers together and to engage in meaningful activities and conversation. Harvest parties, picnics, square dances and soup suppers (the last in partnership with the New Chauncey Neighborhood Association) are enjoyed each fall, spring and summer.

Indoor Picnic

Chili dogs and bowling were on the menu for the IFP Indoor Picnic and Bowling Party held in early April 2018. Students blew off steam with their hosts and families before the crunch of finals hit later in the month.
