Purdue Leadership and Professional Development Initiative

The goal of the Purdue Leadership and Professional Development Initiative is to help our undergraduate students learn how to lead in the classroom, the workplace, the community, and the world. Along with strong academic credentials, leadership skills are essential to student success, and employers repeatedly emphasize how crucial leadership skills are in the workplace. This initiative will help students develop leadership competencies, attributes, and skills through academic and co-curricular programs on campus. Students will learn how to handle information from multiple sources; advance professional relationships across different organizations; contribute innovatively to organizational practices; and communicate with understanding across social, cultural, economic, and scientific disciplines. This initiative will ensure that all students at Purdue have leadership training and experience before they graduate.
