Professional Development Grant Information

The deadline for grant applications for Fall 2011 is December 1.
Purpose
To provide VPSA staff with financial support to attend professional development opportunities.
Requirement
The recipient must be a VPSA full time employee at the time of the grant award and reimbursement.
Grants awarded from the December 1 deadline must be used by June 1.
All grant recipients will be expected to give a presentation about the professional development experience at their
department’s staff meeting.
Application Information

Complete application form.

Write a description of approximately 250 words of how the award will be used. Describe how the professional development opportunity:

Will benefit you

Will benefit students (directly or indirectly) or student life
-
Will benefit your department
-
Will benefit the university community
-
-
Demonstrate support from your department by including the dollar amount your department will fund.

Provide a list of other professional development activities completed/attended in the past two years and the source(s) of funding.
General Information
Incomplete applications and applications that are not received by the deadline date will NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Applications will be considered confidential information.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
A $600.00 grant is the maximum award. The evaluation committee reserves the right to reduce individual award
amounts in order to provide maximum grant benefit with available funds. The award maximum is subject to change
without notice, based on availability of funding.
Funds may apply only to a single event. An event is defined as a conference, workshop, class, training, or other
professional development opportunity
