What is your favorite thing about Purdue?

I love the fact that Purdue has become a second home for me. I have had so many wonderful experiences on campus that I do not think I could have had anywhere else. I have met so many wonderful people, and I have had the opportunity to see so many amazing shows at Elliott Hall and Loeb Playhouse. I also love the education that I am getting from Purdue. I have learned so much in the course of a year through only two semesters of the most enriching classes. Really, Purdue offers so much that it is rather difficult to narrow it down to just one favorite thing.

What was your favorite class?

I love any class that has to do with English. I took an Honors Poetry course in the spring, and so far, that particular class has proven my favorite. I really enjoyed the small class size, the unique challenges the course presented, and the very unconventional, but nonetheless enlightening, teaching methods of the professor.

What are your favorite things about your program of study?

I love the fact that I have the opportunity to go to college and work toward a degree while engaged in a subject that I love. I think everything about the program is wonderful from the advisors to the professors. The courses are vast and cover almost every topic one could hope for.

What is your career goal?

My ultimate goal is to become a published author however, until that happens, I intend to obtain my Bachelors and then work my way up to a PhD.

What would you tell prospective students about Purdue?

I would tell prospective students that Purdue is an amazing university. At Purdue students will have so many amazing opportunities to meet new people, experience new things, and get an amazing education along the way. I would also tell them about all of my wonderful experiences on campus.

What is the most interesting thing you’ve learned or seen as a tour guide at Purdue?

The most interesting thing that I have learned as a tour guide is all of the famous people that have attended Purdue. It was most amazed to learn that Tarkington Residence Hall is named after the Pulitzer Prize winning author, and Purdue alumni, Booth Tarkington.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus has to be either HSSE Library or Elliot Hall. HSEE Library is my favorite spot to spend down time between classes and study while Elliot Hall is my favorite place to spend time when there is a show in town.
