Visitor Parking — Grant Street Parking Garage Directions
Driving directions to the Grant Street Garage, the designated parking garage for campus visitors, are provided below. You also can use the following address for online mapping services:

Arriving
- From Chicago, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend:

Exit I-65 at Exit 172 and proceed west (toward Lafayette) on State Road 26 (South Street). Proceed four miles to West Lafayette. (Be sure to follow the SR 26 signs carefully. At the intersection with Main Street, SR 26 will jog one block north and become Columbia Street.) When you cross the Wabash River you are in West Lafayette and are now on State Street. Proceed to the fourth traffic light and turn right on Grant Street. The Grant Street Parking Garage (PGG on campus map) will be ½ block on your right. - From Champaign, Crawfordsville, St. Louis, and Terre Haute:

Exit I-70 (exit 41) or I-74 (exit 34) on U.S. 231 North. When you cross the Wabash River, you are in West Lafayette. At the third light, turn left on State Road 26 (State Street). At the second traffic light, turn right on Grant Street. The Grant Street Parking Garage (PGG on campus map) will be ½ block on your right.
Departing
Exit the Grant Street Parking garage and turn right. Proceed 3 blocks to Salisbury Street and turn left. At the first stop light, make a hard right onto the ramp down to River Road. Turn right and proceed to the 2nd light (State Street). Do either of the following:
- To Chicago, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend:
Turn left onto State Road 26 (State Street) and proceed 4 miles through Lafayette to I-65. - To Champaign, Crawfordsville, St. Louis, and Terre Haute:
Go straight on U.S. 231 (River Road). Proceed on to I-74 (Crawfordsville) or I-70 (Cloverdale).
Visitor Information Center — Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage
Driving directions to Purdue's Visitor Information Center, which is located in the Northwestern Avenue Garage, are provided below.
Several short-term parking spaces are available outside the Visitor Information Center for stop-in guests. One-hour meter parking is available and daily parking permits can be purchased from the Parking Facilities office located inside the Visitor Information Center. Arriving
- From Chicago, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend:

Exit I-65 at Exit 172 and proceed west (toward Lafayette) on State Road 26 (South Street). Proceed approximately .8 miles to the intersection of State Road 26 and Creasy Lane. Turn right (north) on Creasy Lane and turn left (west) at the second stoplight on to Union St. Travel west on Union Street for 1.8 miles and then take a slight right as the road becomes one way and turns into Salem Street. Follow Salem Street for 1.2 miles. As you cross the bridge over the Wabash River, the road becomes E. Fowler Ave./Old U.S. 231 N. Stay on Fowler Road. Continue through the second stoplight (corner of Grant and Northwestern Avenue). The Visitor Information Center will be on the right side of the road prior to the next intersection (Stadium Avenue). - From Champaign, Crawfordsville, St. Louis, and Terre Haute:
Exit I-70 (exit 41) or I-74 (exit 34) on U.S. 231 North. When you cross the Wabash River, you are in West Lafayette. Continue for 2.2 miles then turn right to merge onto U.S. 231 N toward Purdue Univ./W Lafayette. Take a slight right at US-231 N/Northwestern Avenue. The Visitor Information Center will be on the right side of the road prior to the next intersection (Stadium Avenue).
Departing
Exit the east end of the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage and turn right (south) on to Grant Street. At the stoplight, take a slight left on to Northwestern Avenue and then follow the road left on to Wiggins Street.
Then do either of the following:
- To Chicago, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and South Bend:
Take Wiggins Street until it turns into E Fowler Avenue/Old U.S. 231 S across the Wabash River. After crossing the bridge, the road becomes Union Street and is one-way. Follow Union Street for 2.8 miles and then turn right (south) on to Creasy Lane. Go .5 mile on Creasy Lane and then turn left on to State Road 26. Proceed for 1 mile to reach the ramps to I-65 north and south. - To Champaign, Crawfordsville, St. Louis, and Terre Haute:
Turn right at the 3rd cross street onto N. Salisbury St/U.S. 231. Turn right on U.S. 231 (River Road). Proceed on to I-74 (Crawfordsville) or I-70 (Cloverdale).
