Admission Requirements for Incoming Students

 

Beginning Students - Your application will be evaluated according to academic quality requirements, such as your class rank, SAT or ACT test scores, grade average, trends in achievement, and college preparatory program. USP requires high school coursework that includes a minimum of eight semesters of English, *eight semesters of academic math, six semesters of laboratory science, six semesters of social studies, and four semesters of a foreign language.

*NOTE: Beginning with students who apply for 2011 enrollment, Purdue requires 8 semesters of college-preparatory math. College-prep math includes algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, analysis, etc., but not computer, general or business math.

Transfer Students - 2.5 GPA minimum; cannot have more than 30 credit hours (or the equivalent quarter or trimester hours) of college-level coursework; must take EDPS 105 - "Academic & Career Planning" during first semester at Purdue.
