What to Bring

STAR is a full day of activities designed to help incoming freshmen & transfer students prepare for the start of fall semester.  Here's a list of things to bring with to campus:

  • Your STAR confirmation materials, campus map and Purdue parking permit (mailed to you a week or so before your STAR date)
  • Your PUID (Purdue University Identifier) number, a 10-digit identification number assigned to all Purdue students
  • Plans of study for the majors you found while exploring majors & preparing to register
  • Government-issued Photo ID
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Clothing appropriate for Indiana weather (it could be hot/cool, rainy or dry). Click here for the National Weather Service forecast for West Lafayette
  • Several #2 pencils
  • Medical History Form and Insurance Information Form you will receive from the Purdue Student Health Center (PUSH). You can hand-deliver the forms to PUSH or mail them there.
  • Results of College Board Advance Placement tests, if available
  • A calculator, if you plan to take a Purdue Advanced Credit Examination in mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
