Congratulations on being admitted to Purdue University! We are delighted that you are coming to Purdue to continue your education, and look forward to welcoming you to our campus, West Lafayette, and the state of Indiana.

We understand that many of you will not be able to attend STAR, Purdue's Summer Transition, Advising and Registration program. The following information is intended to help you learn about what you need to do now in order to prepare to register for Fall semester classes and begin Fall semester on August 24th.

Please read through the following list of items and complete each of them as soon as possible:

  1. Take Purdue's online Math Placement Test. You will need to have your online student career (computer) account set up in order to do this.
  1. Complete the Pre-Registration Information for STAR online. You will need your Math Placement Test result(s) to do this. Your answers to this will help your academic advisor suggest classes for you to take this Fall semester.
  1. Get ready to register for Fall semester by giving some thought to the classes you may want to take. We've gathered some suggestions on how to explore the wide variety of different majors and courses offered at Purdue. There is also helpful information about how to use Purdue's online registration system. Reviewing this information will help make registering yourself for Fall classes easier.
  1. After you've completed 1, 2 & 3, contact USP. Call (765) 494-0843 to speak to Cathy, our USP secretary, or e-mail USP. Cathy will arrange a time for you to talk with a USP Academic Advisor.

Purdue's Office of International Students and Scholars website has a Fall Arrival Information page specifically for incoming international undergraduate students.
