Hometown

I was born in Midland, Michigan. Since then, I’ve lived in Ontario, Illinois, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and now call West Lafayette home.

Education

M.A., Higher Education Administration, Boston College

B.S., Communication Studies, Northwestern University

Experience

After college I worked as a credit counselor for a family service agency; I learned very quickly about all the ways people can mess up their personal finances. In graduate school I worked in career services at Brandeis University and athletic academic advising at Boston College. I came to Purdue in 2004 as an advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and have been with the Undergraduate Studies Program since 2007.

Advice for Boilermakers

There are more exciting places to go on vacation than West Lafayette, IN, so remember why you’re here. Now is the time to figure out who you are and who you might become. Join a club that’s completely different from anything you’ve done before, get to know your professors and find out why they’re passionate about the subjects they teach, and stay up late (once in awhile) having rambling discussions with your residence hall neighbors. College is long days and short years, so make the most of your time at Purdue!

Fun Facts

I’m married with two children, Eleanor and Liam. In my spare time I am probably watching football, getting far too invested in the lives of my favorite bloggers, or re-reading the entire Anne of Green Gables series yet again.
