4-3-2-1-Graduate! is an initiative developed through the Indiana Commission for Higher Education that is being modified and promoted at Purdue. 
The Finance Committee of the Purdue Board of Trustees approved the university's 2013-15 legislative request for operating appropriations and line item requests to support several university programs and initiatives.
A new center will serve as the physical hub for a network of industry and research partners focused on making Indiana a leader in developing, commercializing and validating cutting-edge battery technologies. 
About 85 percent of Indiana's 7.5 million acres of woodland are in private hands. Purdue Extension is helping woodland owners make management decisions to keep Indiana forests healthy and profitable. 
Marshall Porterfield, a Purdue professor of agricultural and biological engineering and biomedical engineering, will become director of NASA's Space Life and Physical Sciences Research and Applications Division. 
Purdue food scientists and engineers are combining their research expertise to design new technologies that detect food-borne pathogens. Through collaboration with the USDA they're developing devices to handle real-world scenarios in food safety.
