Has written three textbooks and more than 100 articles in the areas of family and consumer economics and family financial management. Serves as an expert witness in court cases involving economic value of family services.
Director, Indiana Council for Economic Education
Directs and coordinates statewide economic education efforts in schools in cooperation with 10 regional university centers, the Indiana Department of Education and hundreds of business, labor, agriculture, education and government organizations.
Major areas of interest include economic education, international trade and finance, and macroeconomics. Is associate director of Purdue's Center for Economic Education. Named one of the nation's top 10 business educators in Business Week Magazine. Wrote a principles of economics book and an intermediate economics text. Conducts research on the regional impact of macroeconomic policy.

Had been associate professor of social studies education at University of Maine in Orono and a district coordinator of civics education in Maine. Also was director of the Center for Economic Education at Widener University, Chester, Pa., and a teacher educator in economics and entrepreneurship for the National Council on Economic Education.
