JOURNALISTS: Here are story ideas and a list of selected Purdue events during the next two weeks.

Drivers may share road-safety concerns

Tippecanoe County drivers now have a place to report roadway safety concerns. A new Web site, https://saferoad.cc, has been created specifically for motorists to identify problem spots in Tippecanoe County. Motorists accessing the site will fill out a short questionnaire that identifies the location of the problem, the nature of the problem, and other vital information. The site was created by Andrzej Tarko, an associate professor of civil engineering at Purdue, and graduate student Brian DeSalle. The site has been created to collect timely information about what motorists perceive as dangerous locations or other roadway problems. CONTACT: Andrzej Tarko, (765) 494-5027, tarko@ecn.purdue.edu.
