Purdue police release composite sketch from Tower Drive attack

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University police on Wednesday (Jan. 17) released a composite sketch of a suspect thought to be involved in an assault that took place at 11:30 p.m. Friday (Jan. 12) on Tower Drive near Cary Quadrangle.

According to police reports, a male Purdue student was walking from Owen Hall when three white males knocked him down and then one struck his head with what felt like a brick. The student said he struck back at the assailants, who fled.

The victim described one of the men as having a large build, and being 6 feet, 3 inches to 6 feet, 6 inches tall with very short hair. Another was about 6 feet tall and wore a St. Louis Cardinals baseball cap and a hooded sweatshirt. The victim was unable to provide a description of the third attacker.
