Save the Music concert to be held at Purdue Memorial Union

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A concert to benefit music programs at local schools will be held on Jan. 26 in the Purdue Memorial Union.

The Save the Music concert will take place from 8-11 p.m. in La Posada, which is located on the ground floor of Purdue Memorial Union across from Freshens. Sponsored by the Purdue Student Union Board, the event is free and open to the public.

Concert organizers encourage audience members to bring unused musical instruments or make donations that will be given to music programs at local schools. The donations can be made at the concert or can be dropped off in the Purdue Student Union Board office, Purdue Memorial Union, Room 268.

The event is part of the Purdue Student Union Board's Live Music at the Union concert series, which is held four times a year and showcases up-and-coming bands from the area.
