Pedestrians asked to avoid Recitation Hall area due to water main break

Purdue police are asking pedestrians to avoid the area in front of Recitation Hall due to a water main break.

Capt. John Cox of the Purdue Police Department said that a major water main break was reported about 10 a.m. Purdue Water Works officials were on the scene.

CityBus routes to the area were continuing, but some parking spaces around the building were closed.
