School of Pharmacy holding a diversity awareness program for students

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will hold a program for students called "Developing Cultural Awareness" from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 18).

The program, which will be held in Wetherill Laboratory of Chemistry, Room 200, is open to all students currently enrolled in the school and is part of the school's orientation program course. The goal is to make students aware of other cultures and give students a chance to discuss issues related to diversity.

The program will begin with remarks by Dean Craig K. Svensson and Provost Sally Mason. A film, "A World of Difference; Expanding Your Cultural Awareness," will then be shown. Afterward, a panel consisting of four students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program will review the video content and discuss the situations they encounter in their own lives.
