8 receive College of Technology awards for Columbus, Greensburg

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue's College of Technology campus in Columbus and Greensburg recently honored seven students and a lecturer for their achievements.

The Outstanding Student Award recipients were selected based on their academic accomplishments during the past year, as well as their service to the university and community. Award winners receive a recognition plaque and a monetary award.

The following students were honored:

• Daniel Batterton, Greensburg, Ind., Columbus Rotary Club Technology Award.

• Zachary Hunter, Westport, Ind., Outstanding Student in Computer and Information Technology Award.

• Karrick Hutchinson, Columbus, Ind., Outstanding Student in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology Award.

• William Koch, Columbus, Ind., Outstanding Technology Student Award.

• Kirstin Maguire, Columbus, Ind., C.R. Heimlich Memorial Computer and Information Technology Award.

• Kevin Meyer, Columbus, Ind., Outstanding Student in Mechanical Engineering Technology Award.

• Matthew Nolley, Shelbyville, Ind., Outstanding Student in Organizational Leadership and Supervision Award.

In addition, Rodney Ewing of Columbus, Ind., an adjunct lecturer in mechanical engineering technology, received the College of Technology Teaching Excellence Award.
