USC scientist to speak about 'whole genome mapping'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A professor of biological sciences from the University of Southern California will talk about an innovative method for mapping and visualizing the an organism's genetic makeup during a lecture at Purdue University on Thursday (April 13).

Michael S. Waterman will talk about "whole genome optical mapping" at 4:30 p.m. in the Mathematical Science Building, Room 175, as part of the statistics department's Myra Samuels Lecture series.
