Purdue president to provide update on capital campaignWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (March 1) will provide an update on the Campaign for Purdue, the university's $1.5 billion fund-raising effort.From 2-3 p.m. during WBAA Radio's live call-in show "AM 920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from host Dan Skinner and the listening audience. "This is the largest capital campaign in the history of Indiana higher education and among the largest by public universities in the nation," Skinner said. "Even after expanding the goal by $200 million last fall, the campaign is still ahead of schedule." The campaign includes $200 million to attract and retain top faculty, $200 million for student scholarships, $300 million for programs and centers, $600 million for facilities and equipment, and $200 million in unrestricted funds. WBAA's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and can be heard globally via the station's Web site. Jischke discusses different topics on every show, which usually airs the first Wednesday of each month.
