Purdue event to offer taste of Greek cultureWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. A celebration of Greek culture will be held on the Purdue University campus next week.Greek Culture Night, sponsored by the Purdue Student Union Board and the Purdue Hellenic Student Association, will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. March 4 in the Purdue Memorial Union South Ballroom. Admission is $3 for students with a Purdue ID and $6 for the general public. The event is part of Purdue Student Union Board's Passport Series and will give visitors a taste of everyday Greek life. A live Greek band will play throughout the evening as visitors can take part in ethnic dancing, board games and food. Participants also can learn Greek dances and watch a demonstration of how to make Greek coffee. Last year, the Purdue Hellenic Student Association and Purdue Student Union Board came together to present a look at a Greek wedding. This year's event will be similar but will focus on other aspects of Greek culture and a look at typical life in Greece.
