November 8, 2005 Purdue students serve as interns for state programWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. A group of students recently participated in the Interns for Indiana program, which places high-quality Purdue University interns with startup companies in Indiana. Program organizers hope to accelerate company growth while providing students with valuable educational experiences. The program is conducted through Purdue's Discovery Learning Center and is funded by the Lilly Endowment. Participating students earn a $4,500 stipend for 400 hours of full-time summer employment, and the program also runs during the academic year.
