September 2, 2005 The Purduettes to present concerts in Cincinnati areaWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Purdue Musical Organizations' all-female singing group, the Purduettes, will visit Ohio with two concerts Sept. 16 and 17, including a full musical Temple service in Hebrew. The Purduettes will sing the Hebrew prayers at 8 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Temple Sholom, 3100 Longmeadow Lane, Cincinnati. They also will perform a song from the Disney movie "The Prince of Egypt." Another concert of upbeat music is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the Mason Middle School, 6100 S. Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason, Ohio. Both concerts are free and open to the public. The Purduettes formed in 1942 during World War II when the Glee Club men marched off to service. Today, there are more than 40 women forming the group that takes their Glee Club sound around the country.
