President Jischke to talk on WBAA about campus leisure activities

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (July 6) will talk about the wide variety of cultural, entertainment and recreational opportunities available on campus.

From 2-3 p.m. during the station's "AM920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from WBAA station manager Dan Skinner and the listening audience.

"With museums, libraries, lectures, gardens, fountains, plazas, international dining, coffee shops, music and stage productions, the West Lafayette campus offers the amenities of a big city in the heart of our community," Skinner said. "Spectator sports, participatory athletics and down-home dining venues help round out an environment that has something for everyone."

Local listeners can call (765) 496-1999. Listeners outside the local calling area can call toll-free at (866) 922-2101.

Jischke discusses different topics on every show, which airs the first Wednesday of each month. Skinner said past interviews with the president have focused on educational funding, the Campaign for Purdue and campus security.

WBAA's AM signal reaches approximately two-thirds of Indiana and can be heard globally via the station's Web site.
