Drew Brees, quarterback for the San Diego Chargers and former Purdue University football player, visits with campers at Purdue's fourth annual National Youth Sports Program. More than 400 children, ages 10 to 16, are participating in the five-week camp that emphasizes healthy lifestyles, good sportsmanship and community involvement. The children, referred by Tippecanoe and White county schools, participate in daily sports stations such as judo, softball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, track and field, and aerobic fitness, as well as attend classes on nutrition, substance abuse and computer skills. The program is coordinated by the Department of Health and Kinesiology.
